Kansas City Jazz on Vinyl

Artifact ID: TIA-KCC-009-A

Every time the record turns, another block of the city appears. The record carries streets, buildings, lights, and fragments of Kansas City inside its grooves. A trumpet phrase repeats whenever the stylus reaches one particular block. Surface crackle arrives like rain against pavement. Because the pressing sits slightly off-center, one street drifts in and out with every rotation. Near the runout, the stylus enters a locked groove and the same corner of the city plays indefinitely.
